Antibes
The old centre of Antibes is full of small artisanal shops, fashion boutiques, Cafes, ... whether you want hand-made, customly designed shoes, the best rosé wine, a new shirt, exquisite olive oil, or maybe even make a new friend... you might just find it in on of the small streets of Antibes.
Les Voiles d'Antibes
Every year around the first week of June, Les Voiles d'Antibes welcomes a selection of the most beautiful Yachts of the Era (built before 1950), Classic Yachts (built before 1976) and Esprit de Tradition Yachts as well as the Metric Classes (6 MJI, 8MJI and the 12 MJI competing in the America's Cup from 1958 to 1987), which have shaped the great history of International Yachting since the end of the 19th century.
Marché Provençal
Every morning from 6am to 1pm, the "Marche Provencal" is a nice possibiliy to start the day and get ingredients of the highest quality possible. There are classic stands with fresh vegetables and fruits, and also more specialized stand with e.g. cheese, honey, truffle products, olives, other antipasti and much more. At the side of the market, you can sit down and have a cafe, delicious food and taste some great wine.
Nice
Nice is the capital of the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. It hosts the annual Nice Carnival, next to Brasil and Venice one of the major carnival events in the world. It has all the shopping opportunities you can wish for, and don't miss to stroll on the unique "Promenade des Anglais" when you go there. Nice is also famous for museum like the Musée Marc Chagall, Musée Matisse and is home to the Opéra de Nice, which regularly performs operas, classical concerts and ballets... there is a lot to discover, and Antibes is just the right base for that adventure: it is less than 20 Minutes by train from Antibes to "Nice La Belle"!
Cannes
Antibes is truly the perfect base to take part in the Cannes Film Festival. It is one of the most famous film festivals of the world and takes place each May just 12 km away! Besides these two weeks full of movies and stars, Cannes always worth a trip: you can have a walk down the Boulevard de la Croisette or in "Le Suquet", the charming old city, visit museums like the museum of classical art, or go to one of countless fantastic restaurants...
Grasse
Grasse, the wold's capital of perfume, is located just 25km away from Antibes! Well-known from the novel "Perfume" by Patrick Süßkind, the beautiful old town is still home to famous perfumeries like Galimard and Fragonard. They offer daily tours and demonstrations! The history, expertise and atmosphere of Grasse is something absolutely unique in the world...
